First Impressions from My Sephora Sale Haul: Skincare, Sunscreens, and More
Skincare · Words by Sabrina · Released
Explore my top picks and first impressions from the latest Sephora sale, featuring skincare, sunscreens, hair care, fragrances, and makeup essentials.

As we wrap up the Sephora sale, where the code SAVEMORE has been a great incentive to stock up, I've compiled my haul alongside some initial reactions. This time around, I had a robust list of products to explore, and let's just say the timing couldn't have been better!

Skincare Picks

This month has seen quite a bit of transformation in my skin's needs, pushing me to search for new moisturizers and serums. Here are the highlights from my haul:

- Dr. Dennis Gross Vitamin C Lactic Acid Serum – Although I've yet to test this, the buzz surrounding it has piqued my interest. I'm even considering the moisturizer version. If you have a favorite Vitamin C serum, I’d love to hear your recommendations!
- Alpyn Super Peptide and Ghostberry Moisturizer – This was hands down the most recommended product from my Instagram followers, and I can see why. Post-application, I'm already inclined to reach for this moisturizer regularly as my skin settles back to its normal state.
- iNNBeauty Project Extreme Cream and Firming Eye Cream – After seeing this brand pop up on social media, I finally decided to dive in. I’m head over heels for both products! They’re rich yet perfect for daily hydration—perfect if you're in a humid climate, as many of you noted.
- Biodance Bio Collagen Mask Set – This is another viral sensation that I'm eager to try, requiring a few hours of application for optimal results.
- I also restocked my all-time favorite Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser, and Andrew opted for another Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream—a staple in our household
Sunscreen Selections

Living in sunny Miami necessitates a focus on superior sunscreens, leading Andrew and I on a mission to find the best formulations that aren't overwhelming on the skin or pore-clogging. Here’s what we discovered:

- Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion Mineral SPF60 – A mineral formula that applies smoothly and leaves a slight white cast. I need further testing at the beach, but initial impressions are positive.
- Ultra Violette Vibrant Screen SPF 50 – While it's quite emollient, this sunblock doesn’t overly weigh down the skin, making it suitable for summer.
- For facial applications, I picked up the Ultra Violette Mini SPF Mates along with their Sheen Screen SPF 50 Hydrating Lip Balm. You all seem to love them, though I haven't yet had the opportunity to try them.
- ISDIN Fusion Water Magic SPF 40 – This one’s been tricky; I'm not convinced by the texture, but I’m willing to give it another go. That said, the Eryfotona Actinica Ultralight Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 is lighter, and I’m a fan of its tinted option.
- Dr. Jart Every Sun Day Face Sunscreen SPF 50 – This one was Andrew's choice, and so far, he approves of its lightweight consistency.
Hair Care and Fragrance Favorites

When it comes to hair care, here’s what caught my eye:

- Gisou Mini Wildflower Honey Infused Hair Perfume – Adorably portable, though I’m still on the fence about the scent itself.
- Sent from Ouai, their Leave In Conditioner in the St Barts scent is a delightful addition to your summer routine. Super refreshing.
- Verb Ghost Weightless Oil – I’ve rekindled my love for this product, realizing its worth exceeds newer items I’ve tried.
- A quick mention for Oribe’s treatment line; their Serene Scalp Densifying Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment Spray have transformed my thickening regimen.
- I've also been testing the new Glossier You Fleur Eau de Parfum and Jo Malone Beach Blossom Cologne. While the former caught my attention for its unique fragrance, the latter didn’t mesh well with my body chemistry.
Makeup Haul
My makeup picks were extensive, and while I wish I could have swatched everything in time, here’s a taste of what’s included:

- Merit Shade Slick Lip Oil and Signature Sheer Lip Liner – These minimalist products ooze a sheer, glossy vibe that appeals to those who prefer subtlety—though I lean more towards vibrant pigments.
- The latest from Fenty Gloss Bomb Oils grabbed my attention, and I snagged all the new shades, except for one that didn’t work for me.
- I also picked up the YSL All Hours Hyper Blur Loose Setting Powder which proved excellent for my skin, while I found the Kosas Cloud Set Loose Powder didn’t quite agree with my dry skin.
- The Givenchy Prisme Libre Matte Pressed Powder in 03 Voile Rose is another item I'm excited to try.
- I explored bronzer options, picking the Dior Forever Nude Bronzer Jumbo and a few offerings from Haus Labs. The Bio-Radiant Glassy Balm Highlighter Stick caught my attention for its glassy finish.

That concludes my jam-packed Sephora haul and my initial impressions. If any of these items have intrigued you, I hope my reflections assist you in making a choice.
